Sell your products direct, from the platform that rates and issues them
For underwriting agencies that sell to consumers and small businesses under their own licence. Your own-brand sales funnels quote from your rating, bind and issue on Cuttleflow, and keep every enquiry, policy and renewal in one record.
Customers answer only the questions your rating needs for an indicative price, shown with the assumptions it rests on and clearly not an offer. The rest are asked only if they want a firm quote they can bind.
How it works: four steps
- Register. Your name, email, agency and licence number, which we check automatically against ASIC’s registers, plus a card (nothing is charged during the beta). About three minutes.
- Set it up. Your brand and licence details, the products customers can buy direct, and the industries you want to reach. The questions come from your own rating, so there is no form to write.
- Preview and test. Try every step as a customer would, on test data, before you go live.
- Go live and grow. Share a link, embed it on your website, add it to emails or print a QR code. Send questionnaires to your existing customers, and see every result through to the bound policy.
Why sell direct from the same platform
Most direct sales sites are a separate system that has to be connected to rating and policy administration, and kept in step with every product change. On Cuttleflow, the funnel is part of the platform that already holds your products.
- Quotes from your own rating. The price a customer sees comes from the same rules your underwriters use.
- Bind and issue straight through. When a customer accepts, the policy is issued on the platform, with no rekeying.
- Product changes flow through. Change a rate, question or wording on the platform and the funnel follows.
- One record. Enquiry, quote, policy, renewal and claims sit together, so you can see which campaigns produce profitable business.
Price first, then only the questions a bind needs
Most direct sales forms ask everything before showing a price. Your funnel asks only what your rating needs for an indicative price, and asks the rest only when a customer wants a firm quote they can bind. It quotes in stages, using your own rating:
- Indicative price after a handful of questions, shown with the assumptions it rests on and clearly labelled as not an offer. You set the assumptions.
- Firm quote after the confirmations you need, such as claims history, previous declines and specific hazards. Your rules decide what changes the price and what is referred.
- Bind and issue on the platform.
You see where customers stop, how far firm prices move from indicative prices, and why risks are referred or declined, so you can tune your questions and defaults.
What you get
Own-brand funnels from your own products
Each funnel asks the questions your rating needs, in plain language, and the industry lookup tells a business which covers it needs and why. You publish under your own brand and licence, and you write your own page wording and campaigns; we provide a short guide on what they may say about price.
Placed where your customers already are
Put your funnel on your own website, in emails and newsletters, on QR codes, with partners such as car clubs, dealers, industry associations, suppliers and business software through the API, and with AI assistants through your own MCP address. Each placement carries its own tag, so you can see which ones produce policies.
Your existing customers
Send renewal and cross-sell questionnaires to your own customers, pre-filled with what you already hold, and see which campaigns add revenue against a group not contacted.
Dashboards
From first click to issued policy, by campaign and placement: enquiries, quotes, conversion, premium written and early loss experience.
Built for retail rules
Selling to consumers brings obligations that a generic website builder does not handle. In the Cuttleflow funnel:
- the product disclosure statement is presented before purchase;
- target market questions apply your distribution conditions, and outcomes are recorded for your design and distribution reporting;
- the general advice warning, cooling-off and complaints information are built into the journey;
- follow-up contact needs the customer’s recorded consent;
- page and ad wording comes only from facts you approve.
These controls are being built during the beta and must be in place before any retail product is sold through a funnel.
Small business products too
The same funnels sell business products, such as liability and contract works for builders, with the questions, triage and notices those products need.
When a customer needs a broker
Some customers want advice, and some risks fall outside your appetite. You can nominate a broker for those customers, who are passed on only with their consent. Customers who come to you through a broker are flagged, so your direct campaigns do not target them.
Brokers use the same channels under their own licence. See how Cuttleflow for Brokers works.
Selling through brokers? Coming soon
Agencies that distribute through brokers will be able to sponsor campaigns that brokers run for their products, under published rules and clearly labelled to clients. Tell us if you are interested.
Pricing
Direct sales is free during the beta. Any charge after the beta will be published, with at least 30 days’ notice before charging starts. Your platform subscription is separate and unchanged.
Where things stand
Direct sales on Cuttleflow is in beta, being set up with our first agencies. Features may change, be paused or be withdrawn; if we close the beta we will give at least 60 days’ notice and let you export your data.
Common questions
Do I need a separate website?
No. Funnels can run on your existing site, on a page we host under your brand, or both.
Can I use my own brand and domain?
Yes. Customers see your brand, your licence details and your documents.
How does the funnel connect to rating and policy issue?
It uses the products already configured for you on Cuttleflow, so there is no separate integration to build.
Can I sell retail products such as private motor?
Yes, once the retail controls described above are in place for your product.
Can customers speak to a broker?
Yes, if you nominate one. Customers are passed on only with their consent.
